New York, NY – Today, the New York City Council passed Resolution 0025-2022, sponsored by Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse which calls upon the New York State legislature to pass, and the Governor to sign, A.8619A (Meeks)/S.7573 (Myrie). If passed, this legislation would expand eligibility for victims and survivors of crime to access victim compensation funds.
